“Bowsette” Takes Japan By Storm

If you’ve been out of the loop the past few days, you may not have noticed the massive influx of art depicting a female Bowser, dubbed “Bowsette” or “Bowserette” by fans. The concept originated in this twitter post by user ayyk92, showing Bowser taking advantage of the Super Crown from New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe. The internet took the image and ran with it.

Most surprising, though, the design has found significant appeal with numerous mangaka, including Kotoyama (Dagashi Kashi), Coolkyoushinja (Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid) and even KuroseP (Goblin Slayer). Needless to say, the phenomenon is much bigger and much more than ayyk92 bargained for.

Below, you can check out the various mangaka and artists who’ve contributed to the fad.

“Indivisible” is Coming to the Nintendo Switch

Lab Zero’s newest upcoming title, Indivisible, will be available to play on the Nintendo Switch! An announcement trailer showing off the game’s new characters and improved look was released a few hours ago.

“Indivisible is a new RPG/platformer IP, starring Ajna (AHZH-na), a girl who sets out on a globe-spanning journey to discover the truth behind her mysterious powers. On her quest she’ll be joined by a variety of unique heroes and gain new abilities to traverse the environments and defeat the enemies they’ll encounter along the way.

Indivisible is inspired by classic platformers and RPGs, but with the unique characters and gameplay depth Lab Zero is known for.

In addition to a fresh spin on RPG gameplay, Indivisible features a deep storyline inspired by southeast Asian and other world mythologies, Lab Zero’s trademark feature-quality 2D hand-drawn animation, a lush soundtrack from legendary Secret of Mana composer Hiroki Kikuta, and an opening animation by popular anime studio TRIGGER.”

Indivisible was fully funded through Lab Zero’s IndieGogo campaign back in December 2015. The free prototype is available to try and the company is currently accepting game preorders that come with exclusive pre-release bonuses. Indivisible is expected to be released sometime in 2018 and will be available to play on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC in addition to the Nintendo Switch.

The Backerkit survey has been updated so Backers who wish to receive the game for their Nintendo Switch will be able to check that option and receive it at launch. Backers can find more information right here.
