1st PV Released for “Jashin-chan Dropkick” TV Anime

A two and a half minute promotional video for the Jashin-chan Dropkick television anime adaptation has been released! The video was released along with a list of cast members.

MyAnimeList describes the synopsis as:

“Jashin-chan Dropkick is a violent slapstic comedy about a delusional gothic lolita, Yurine, who summons a demon girl with the tail of a cobra, Jashin-chan.

They’ll have to live together until Yurine finds a way to sent Jashin-chan back to hell, or until Jyashin-chan kills Yurine.”

Jashin-chan Dropkick will begin airing in July 2018. The anime will have full length episodes and will be available on Amazon Prime.

“Steins;Gate 0” TV Anime Gets Key Visual and Character Designs

The countdown is complete and the official Steins;Gate 0 TV anime website has officially launched! A new key visual and a ton of character designs were included with the launch.

MyAnimeList describes the synopsis as:

“The dark untold story of Steins;Gate that leads with the eccentric mad scientist Okabe, struggling to recover from a failed attempt at rescuing Kurisu. He decides to give up and abandons his lively scientist alter ego, in pursuit to forget the past. When all seems to be normal, he is seemingly pulled back into the past by meeting an acquaintance of Kurisu, who tells him that they have begun testing a device that stores the memory of a human and creates a simulation of them with their characteristics and personalities. Okabe begins testing and finds out that the simulation of Kurisu has brought back anguish and some new unexpected tragedies.

Zero is a side story that explores events from the Beta Attractor Field’s future that contribute in making the end of the original story possible.”

A short staff list was also posted on the website. Kenichi Kawamura will be directing, Jukki Hanada will be in charge of series composition, Tomoshige Inayoshi will be the character designer, and White Fox will be providing the animation. The original cast will be reprising their character roles.

Steins;Gate 0 will begin airing in April 2018.

“Omae wa Mada Gunma wo Shiranai” to Receive TV Anime Adaptation

A television anime adaptation has been announced for Omae wa Mada Gunma wo Shiranai, a web manga that has been publishing since October 2013. This announcement was accompanied by a key visual, staff list, and an official website launch.

Mankyuu (Cinderella Girls Gekijou) will be directing, Tomonori Kogawa (Uchuu Senkan Yamato: Fukkatsu-hen) will be the character designer, and animation will be provided by Asahi Production and CJT. Aya Uchida, well known for her role as Kotori Minami from Love Live! School Idol Project, will be performing the ending theme song “So Happy”.

The series’ synopsis:

Nori Kamitsuki moves to Gunma prefecture in order to attend his new high school. As he researches and learns more about this new place, he finds only negative feedback. A classmate warns him that nobody comes back from Gunma alive.

Omae wa Mada Gunma wo Shiranai will begin airing in April 2018.

Sentai Filmworks Previews English Dubs for “Flip Flappers”, “The Dragon Dentist”, and “Tanaka-kun Is Always Listless”

English dub clips for Flip FlappersThe Dragon Dentist, and Tanaka-kun Is Always Listless have been released to Sentai Filmworks’ Youtube channel.

Flip Flappers is currently available to preorder from Sentai Filmworks as both a premium box set ($97.99) and a standard DVD/blu-ray edition. It is scheduled to release on February 27. Tanaka-kun Is Always Listless was recently released on January 30. A premium box set ($97.99) and standard DVD/blu-ray edition are available for this series as well. Each release includes the English dub along with the original Japanese dub + English subtitles.

The Dragon Dentist was released way back on October 31, but this dub preview might help viewers decide if they’re interested. The dub is available to purchase through Sentai Filmworks as a DVD/blu-ray combo ($25.99). It has also been available for streaming through HIDIVE since January 29.
