“Spiritpact” Season 2 Announced

The official Twitter account for the Spiritpact (Ling Qi) anime project has announced an upcoming second season!

For those unfamiliar with the series, the synopsis is listed as:

“Poverty-strikened Yang Jinghua had an accident. The moment he woke up, he seemed to turn 10 years younger overnight. Yang Jinghua thought he had been reborn and when he was about to step on the path for a new beginning, a white-haired, rich and handsome guy named Duanmu Xi, appeared right in front of him. He not only told Yang Jinghua that Yang Jinghua was already dead, he even asked for an invitation: “Young man, do you want to sign a contract with me and stay with me for the rest of your life?”

The anime first aired in June 2016 and featured twenty 14-minute long episodes. More information on the second season should be available soon.

“Sword Art Online” Season 3 Announced Along With “Gun Gale Online” TV Anime Spinoff

Sword Art Online fans should be pleased to hear that a season 3, titled Sword Art Online: Alicization, has been officially announced! In addition, the light novel spinoff, Sword Art Online: Alternative Gun Gale Online, is receiving a television anime adaptation as well! This spinoff focuses on two female players named Llenn and Pitohui and their adventures in the world of Gun Gale Online.

Each announcement came with a key visual, promotional video, and cast list for the new main characters. Air date information will be released as production gets further along.

“Toaru Majutsu no Index” Season 3 Announced

The leak has been confirmed: Toaru Majutsu no Index is getting a season 3! The announcement was accompanied by a short promotional video showcasing the previous two seasons and the movie.

Production has begun and season 3 is expected to air in 2018.

“Fate/Stay Night Heaven’s Feel 1. presage flower” Film Receives US Premiere Date

Aniplex USA has announced the official premiere date for the Fate/Stay Night Heaven’s Feel 1. presage flower film as November 3!

This film is the first of a three part film series covering the “Heaven’s Feel” route from the Fate/Stay Night visual novel. “Heaven’s Feel” is the third and final route to receive an anime adaptation from the original series.

The synopsis of part one can be found below:

“Emiya Shirou is a young magus who attends Homurahara Academy in Fuyuki City. One day after cleaning the Archery Dojo in his school, he catches a glimpse of a fight between superhuman beings, and he gets involved in the Holy Grail War, a ritual where magi called Masters fight each other with their Servants to win the Holy Grail. Shirou joins the battle to stop an evildoer from winning the Grail and to save innocent people, but everything goes wrong when a mysterious “Shadow” begins to indiscriminately kill people in Fuyuki…”

Theater listings should be appearing soon.

“Girls’ Last Tour” Receives Key Visual, Character Designs, and Short Web Anime Announcement

The official Twitter account for the Girls’ Last Tour (Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou) anime adaptation has uploaded a third key visual and full body designs for the two main characters. A mini Girls’ Last Tour web anime was also announced via Twitter! It will air on Kadokawa’s Youtube channel starting October 6.

For those unfamiliar with the series, Yen Press describes the synopsis as:

“Civilization is dead, but not Chito and Yuuri. Time to hop aboard their beloved Kettenkrad motorbike and wander what’s left of the world! Sharing a can of soup or scouting for spare parts might not be the experience they were hoping for, but all in all, life isn’t too bad…”

Girls’ Last Tour will premiere on October 6.

“Slow Start” TV Anime Receives Key Visual and Character PVs

The official website for the Slow Start television anime adaptation has been updated with a new key visual and 18-second promotional videos for each of the four main characters:

  • Hana Ichinose, voiced by Reina Kondou (Momoka Suzuki from Just Because! and Small-clawed Otter from Kemono Friends)
  • Tamate Momochi, voiced by Ayasa Itou (Arisa Ichigaya from BanG Dream! and Alice Myoujingawa from Futari wa Milky Holmes)
  • Eiko Tokura, voiced by Tomomi Mineuchi (various voices from BanG Dream! and High School Student from episode 13 of Ajin season 2)
  • and Kamuri Sengoku, voiced by Maria Naganawa (Kanna Kamui from Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid and Tamaki Honda from Stella no Mahou).

Slow Start was originally a 4-koma (4-panel manga) published in Manga Time Kirara magazine starting in June 2013. It is currently ongoing and has been released as 4 volumes as of now. A-1 Pictures will be providing the animation for its adaptation.

The series’ synopsis is listed as:

“Hana Ichinose is a normal 16-year-old high school student. However, there is something different about her: She enrolled in high school one year late! Her classmates are unaware of this, and Hana will have to work hard to catch up with everyone else.”

Slow Start will begin airing in January 2018.

New PV Released for “The [email protected] SideM” TV Anime Project

A new promotional video has been released for the TV anime adaptation of The [email protected] SideM!

This video shows off all the idol boys in A-1 Picture‘s animation style and previews the opening theme “Reason!!” sung by the entire idol cast. This is now the third [email protected] group to receive an anime adaptation from A-1, following The [email protected] and The [email protected] Cinderella Girls.

SideM will begin airing on October 7. A prequel special featuring Jupiter is set to premiere on September 30.

“One Room” Season 2 Announced for 2018

A second season of the One Room TV anime has been announced for 2018. This season will be introducing two new additions to the voice cast:

  • Rie Takahashi (Megumin from Konosuba and Emilia from Re:ZERO) and
  • Inori Minase (Hestia from Danmachi and Chino Kafuu from Is the Order a Rabbit?).

One Room originally aired in the Winter 2017 season and is a first-person anime where the viewer interacts with three different girls in their own arcs. The episodes are only 4 minutes long and the setting for each arc is based around “one room”, his bedroom.

“Kemono Friends” Director Suddenly Removed From Project

Tatsuki, the director of the Kemono Friends anime project, was suddenly removed from the staff due to a decision from Kadokawa. He expressed his apologies and disappointment to his fans on Twitter earlier today.


A second season was recently announced and will take some time to complete. Unfortunately this project will have to continue on without the series’ loving director who created the 3D models and helped write the script.
