Amazon Removes Anime Strike Service

It appears that Amazon has quietly removed its Anime Strike service. Anime Strike provided users with anime streaming content, but it was only available for Prime members with an additional $5 monthly fee on top of that. The Anime Strike catalog can now be accessed by regular Prime members.

Series like Made in AbyssLand of the Lustrous (Houseki no Kuni), Inuyashiki, Girls’ Last Tour, and many more can now be watched legally through Prime Video at no additional cost beyond an Amazon Prime subscription. The Anime Strike Twitter account has also been deactivated after a period of inactivity. Amazon did not pick up any exclusive titles for the Winter 2018 season.

New “Tiger & Bunny” Anime Project Announced

The official Tiger & Bunny Twitter account has announced a new upcoming anime project!

Tiger & Bunny originally ran during the Spring 2011 season, followed by two films: Tiger & Bunny Movie 1 – The Beginning, released in September 2012, and Tiger & Bunny Movie 2 – The Rising, released in February 2014. The synopsis of Tiger & Bunny can be found below:

Stern Bild City is home to a variety of super-powered individuals called “NEXT”. These abilities can lead each individual who possesses them down the path of good or evil. NEXT who decide to use their powers for good can become sponsored heroes that appear on Hero TV. These heroes use their powers to fight crime, advertise for their sponsors, and earn points toward the coveted “King of Heroes” title.

Veteran hero Kotetsu T. Kaburagi, also known as “Wild Tiger”, is forced to team up with new rising star hero Barnaby Brooks Jr. and gives him the nickname “Bunny”. The two must learn to cooperate with each other in order to save both their hero careers and the city.

The new project is currently in development. More information will be released at a later date.
