Yes, you heard right.

Are you a fan of finding virtual cats at 4 in the morning? Ever wanted a movie about finding REAL cats during the day? Well you’re in luck because AMG Entertainment announced that they’re making a Neko Atsume film.

See more details after the break.

Anime News Network describes the film as this:

The film follows Sakumoto, a novelist who won a new writer award when he was younger and became a best-selling author. However, he has been dealing with writer’s block lately. To turn over a new leaf, he moves to a tranquil new home, but he still remains downbeat. One day when he was at his wit’s end, he looks out into the garden, where a cat shows up.

Although Sakumoto tries talking to the cat, it goes away, and Sakumoto is downbeat again. That evening, he places dry cat food in a corner of the garden. The following morning, the food is gone, and all of a sudden, Sakumoto is intrigued.

Atsushi Itou (Producer of shows like Nichijou – My Ordinary Life and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya) is starring in the film.
