1st PV and 15-Second CM Released for “New Game!” Season 2

The upcoming second season for New Game!, titled New Game!!, has received its first promotional video and 15-second commercial!

Both videos preview a few new scenes along with the series’ opening theme, “STEP by STEP UP↑↑↑↑”, sung by fourfolium, a group made up of the voice actors for the four main characters: Yuuki Takada (voice for Aoba Suzukaze), Megumi Yamaguchi (voice for Hifumi Takimoto), Megumi Toda (voice for Hajime Shinoda), and Ayumi Takeo (voice for Yun Iijima).

For those unfamiliar with the series, New Game! follows the lives of Aoba Suzukaze and her coworkers at Eagle Jump, a video game company, as they experience the joys and obstacles that come with creating games. Each girl shares a passion for games and has their own special quirk.

New Game!! will begin airing on July 11.

“Bungou Stray Dogs” Film Receives 30-Second CM and Key Visual

The official Bungou Stray Dogs website has been updated with a new 30-second commercial and key visual for the upcoming anime film, Bungou Stray Dogs -Dead Apple-!

For those unfamiliar, the series’ synopsis can be found below:

“For weeks, Atsushi Nakajima’s orphanage has been plagued by a mystical tiger that only he seems to be aware of. Suspected to be behind the strange incidents, the 18-year-old is abruptly kicked out of the orphanage and left hungry, homeless, and wandering through the city.

While starving on a riverbank, Atsushi saves a rather eccentric man named Osamu Dazai from drowning. Whimsical suicide enthusiast and supernatural detective, Dazai has been investigating the same tiger that has been terrorizing the boy. Together with Dazai’s partner Doppo Kunikida, they solve the mystery, but its resolution leaves Atsushi in a tight spot. As various odd events take place, Atsushi is coerced into joining their firm of supernatural investigators, taking on unusual cases the police cannot handle, alongside his numerous enigmatic co-workers.”

The film is scheduled to open in theaters in early Spring 2018. More information on the project will be available soon.

2nd PV for “Netsuzou TRap -NTR-” TV Anime Released

Netsuzou TRap (NTR), the yuri television anime adaptation, has received its second promotional video! The video previews the series’ opening theme, “Blue Bud Blue” by Haruka Toujou.

The Netsuzou TRap manga series was acquired by Seven Seas Entertainment in December 2015 for English localization. Only the first two volumes have been released so far, with volume 3 set to release on July 11 and volume 4 on February 13.

Seven Seas Entertainment describes the synopsis below:

“Yuma and Hotaru have been friends since childhood, so it’s only natural that when Yuma is nervous about her new boyfriend, she asks Hotaru for advice. But when Hotaru starts coming onto Yuma for what feels like more than just ‘practice,’ what does it mean…? With boyfriends in the foreground but a secret, passionate tryst in the background, will Yuma and Hotaru try to forget what happened between them or have they fallen into a trap of true love and betrayal?”

Netsuzou TRap will begin airing on July 5.

“Violet Evergarden” to Premiere at Anime Expo 2017

Violet Evergarden, Kyoto Animation’s beautiful adaptation of the light novel series by the same name, will premiere its first episode at this year’s Anime Expo! The official website for the project announced this information along with a promotional video and key visual. Following the premiere, the convention will host a Q&A session with the series’ director Taichi Ishidate, the lead actress Yui Ishikawa, and the opening theme performer TRUE.

Anime Expo describes the series’ plot below:

“There are words Violet heard on the battlefield, which she cannot forget. These words were given to her by someone she holds dear, more than anyone else. She does not yet know their meaning.

A certain point in time, in the continent of Telesis. The great war which divided the continent into North and South has ended after four years, and the people are welcoming a new generation.

Violet Evergarden, a young girl formerly known as “the weapon”, has left the battlefield to start a new life at CH Postal Service. There, she is deeply moved by the work of “Auto Memories Dolls”, who carry people’s thoughts and convert them into words.

Violet begins her journey as an Auto Memories Doll, and comes face to face with various people’s emotions and differing shapes of love.  All the while searching for the meaning of those words.”

Violet Evergarden will begin airing in January 2018 after its world premiere on July 2.

The official website for the Mahoutsukai no Yome (The Ancient Magus’ Bride) anime adaptation has released new promotional videos and visuals for both the OVA and the television anime!

For those unfamiliar, the series’ synopsis can be found below:

“Hatori Chise is only 16, but she has lost far more than most. With neither family nor hope, it seems all doors are closed to her. But, a chance encounter began to turn the rusted wheels of fate. In her darkest hour, a mysterious magus appears before Chitose, offering a chance she couldn’t turn down. This magus who seems closer to demon than human, will he bring her the light she desperately seeks, or drown her in ever deeper shadows?”

This next part in the OVA series will have a short 2-week theatrical run starting August 19. The 24-episode television anime adaptation will begin airing this October.

New PV, Key Visual, and Character Designs for “Konbini Kareshi” Original TV Anime

A promotional video, key visual, and character designs have been released to the official website for Konbini Kareshi, a convenience store love story. This original anime project will follow the lives of a group of students as they fall in love and handle their feelings up to a confession.

The series’ synopsis is listed below:

Spring: The season of beginnings. Haruki Mishima and his close friend Towa Honda are enrolling in their first year at a new high school. While there are lots of interesting girls around, the possibility of love developing is slim.

As the two spend their new high school lives together, they meet and befriend several classmates. When school ends each day, they all gather at the nearby convenience store for snacks, magazines, food, or just to hang out. This convenience store becomes their usual meet-up spot where they can relax, talk about their lives, and meet girls.

Konbini Kareshi will begin airing on July 7.

New PV and 15-second CM for “Centaur no Nayami” TV Anime

A new 1-minute promotional video and 15-second commercial have been released for the upcoming Centaur no Nayami (A Centaur’s Life or Centaur’s Worries) television anime adaptation! The videos show off the wide variety of monster girls that attend school and interact with the centaur main character, Himeno.

The ongoing manga series was first published back in February 2011 and is currently being published in English through Seven Seas Entertainment.

Seven Seas Entertainment describes the plot below:

“Being a teenager is never easy… especially for a centaur! Himeno is a sweet, shy girl, who like many teens her age, struggles with the trials and tribulations of attending high school. The difference is she’s a centaur; but she’s not alone. In fact, all of her classmates are supernatural creatures, sporting either horns, wings, tails, halos, or some other unearthly body appendage. Yet despite their fantastical natures, Himeno and her best friends-the dragon-winged Nozomi, and Kyoko with her spiraled horns-are down-to-earth, fun-loving teenagers who grapple with issues of life and love in a mostly normal daily school setting.”

Centaur no Nayami will begin airing on July 9.

Website Launched with Key Visual and PV for “Just Because!” Anime Project

An official website has been launched for the Just Because! original anime project. A promotional video, key visual, and character designs were released along with it.

The series’ synopsis is listed on the website as:

It is now winter in their third year of high school. There is little time left for their high school life and everyone has been focused on graduation. That is, until he suddenly came back.

A classmate from junior high school who had moved far away to a distant town has transferred back at a strange time. A small “go” signal is felt by the students who were ready to accept the end of their high school life as they reunite with their lost classmate.

The project was originally announced as an April Fool’s Day joke and now is currently in production.

The official website for the Keppeki Danshi! Aoyama-kun (Cleanliness Boy! Aoyama-kun) television anime adaptation has released a promotional video and character designs! The comedy sports series began as a manga that was first published by Taku Sakamoto in May 2014 and is currently serialized in Young Jump Magazine.

The series’ synopsis can be found below:

“The story revolves around Aoyama, a fastidious soccer genius who prioritizes cleanliness over everything, in which during his plays he neither heads nor slides and only throws with his gloves on!”

“Blend S” TV Anime Receives Key Visual and Website Launch

An official website has been launched, along with a key visual, for the upcoming Blend S television anime adaptation! The new site also announces the project’s staff members: Ryouji Masuyama as director, Gou Zappa for series composition, Yousuke Okuda as character designer, and A-1 Pictures for animation production studio.

The series’ synopsis is listed as:

“The story of Blend S follows Maika Sakuranomiya, a young lady whose neutral facial expression makes her appear perpetually in a bad mood. This feature makes it difficult for Maika to find a part time job, until one day she lands an interview for a position at a cafe. However, it turns out that the venue is maid-style cafe in which all of the waitresses act out “roles” for the customers, and Maika is assigned the role of “extreme sadist”…”

Blend S will begin airing this October.
