New Key Visual for “Isekai Shokudou” TV Anime

The official website for the Isekai Shokudou (Restaurant to Another World) television anime adaptation has released a new key visual. The opening theme, “One in a Billion”, will be performed by the singer May’n and the Wake Up, Girls! group. Kiyono Yasuno (Megumi Katou from Saekano and Botan Kumegawa from Anne Happy) will be joining the cast and singing the ending theme.

The series began as a light novel series that was first published in February 2015 by Katsumi Enami (art) and Junpei Inuzuka (story). It is currently ongoing and received a manga adaptation in November 2016.

MyAnimeList describes the synopsis below:

“At the bottom floor of the building with a dog signboard, in the shopping district near the office street, there lies a cafeteria called “Youshoku no Nekoya,” that has an illustration of a cat on the door. It’s been open for fifty years and has satisfied various salarymen from nearby offices. Despite it being called a Western cuisine cafeteria, it also provides other varieties of menus. For the people of this certain world, it’s their one-and-only special cafeteria.

There is, however, one secret to “Nekoya.” The cafeteria is closed to the public every Saturday in order to make way for special guests. When a bell rings, customers from different places of birth and races appear who ask for mysterious and delicious dishes. They are actually the same dishes served to the salarymen, but these special guests find them to be more exotic than to what they are used to. As the cafeteria aims to serve masterpieces, it is usually referred as “Isekai Shokudou.”

And so, the bell rings again this week.”

Isekai Shokudou (Restaurant to Another World) will begin airing this summer.

Cover Art for “Hibike! Euphonium” Season 2 BD/DVD Volume 7 Released

Hibike! Euphonium (Sound! Euphonium) 2’s Blu-ray/DVD volume 7 cover art has been released. Volume 7 will contain episodes 12 and 13, with the Blu-ray priced at 6,500 yen before tax (about $57.33) and the DVD at 5,700 yen before tax (about $50.28).

The synopsis of the first season can be found below:

“After swearing off music due to an incident at the middle school regional brass band competition, euphonist Kumiko Oumae enters high school hoping for a fresh start. As fate would have it, she ends up being surrounded by people with an interest in the high school brass band. Kumiko finds the motivation she needs to make music once more with the help of her bandmates, some of whom are new like novice tubist Hazuki Katou; veteran contrabassist Sapphire Kawashima; and band vice president and fellow euphonist Asuka Tanaka. Others are old friends, like Kumiko’s childhood friend and hornist-turned-trombonist Shuuichi Tsukamoto, and trumpeter and bandmate from middle school, Reina Kousaka.

However, in the band itself, chaos reigns supreme. Despite their intention to qualify for the national band competition, as they currently are, just competing in the local festival will be a challenge—unless the new band advisor Noboru Taki does something about it.

From the studio that animated Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu, Kyoto Animation’s Hibike! Euphonium is a fresh and musical take on the slice-of-life staple that is the high school student’s struggle to deal with their past, find romance, and realize their dreams and aspirations.”

Volume 7 will go on sale on June 21.
