The official website for the Alice to Zouroku television anime has released a new key visual, some character designs, and a short commercial! The anime will be produced by J.C. Staff and will star the voices of Hitomi Owada as Sana and Akio Otsuka as Zouroku. A new Twitter account for the series was launched less than 24 hours ago.
The series began as a manga in October 2012 with Imai Tetsuya responsible for both the story and the art. Alice to Zouroku was licensed for North American release by Seven Seas Entertainment. The first volume is expected in July 2017 with the English title of Alice & Zouroku.
Seven Seas Entertainment describes the synopsis as:
“A group of young girls possess a mysterious power known as “Alice’s Dream,” which gives them the ability to turn their thoughts into reality. Detained and experimented upon, these youths are locked away in secret until one of them manages to escape. Her name is Sana—a girl with the power to ignore the very laws of physics. When this willful powerhouse crosses paths with a stubborn old man named Zouroku, his carefully-ordered life will never be the same again!”
The series will begin airing in April 2017.
